Excluded items

Items you can't list on Gear Envy

These can't be listed or hired, whatever the category, for safety or legal reasons. This is the excluded items list in clause 15.2 of our Terms of Service, and we may update it.

• Motor vehicles and anything registrable: cars, motorbikes, trailers, caravans, boats with motors, jet skis and e-scooters.
• Adult products: sex toys and anything sexual.
• Illegal items and drug paraphernalia: bongs, pipes, grow kits and anything illegal to own or use in NSW.
• Weapons, replicas and ammunition.
• Explosives, fireworks, fuel and gas bottles, and gas cooking and heating appliances.
• Signal jammers, laser pointers stronger than 1 mW, and hidden or covert recording devices.
• Counterfeit, recalled, unsafe or possibly stolen gear.
• Life-safety and health equipment: child car seats, climbing ropes and harnesses, motorbike helmets, life jackets, medical devices and mobility aids.
• Licensed plant and machinery, such as excavators and scissor lifts, and all chainsaws.
• Things that aren't gear: property, services, people, animals, clothing, food and drink, alcohol, tobacco and vapes.
• Drones over 250 g.
